The agreement will see the consortium constructing the proposed plant, which will produce and assemble solar panels, solar cells and batteries, according to thenews.com.pk.

Also under consideration of the consortium is the development of 400 solar projects each in Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Lahore. It will be also responsible for construction of a 150 MW plant along the motorway from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad.

Punjab Province of Pakistan chief minister Shahbaz Sharif said the Punjab government will take the responsibility of providing all required places for the projects.

Besides, the consortium will unveil zero energy building system for large buildings; solar pumps for agriculture sector and street lights in big cities.
