A further seven tenements are expected to proceed to grant, four following completion of Native Title processes. Eighteen more EPC applications await processing, nine of which are competing.
The company claims that the philosophy of its management has been to secure strategic tenure by identifying available tenements close to operating mines or in areas with proven or potential in-ground resources in regions suitable for short term development.
An initial review of the projects identifying prospective areas for further exploration has been completed and the company is focused on exploiting the commercial value of the projects. The company’s geologists are identifying exploration targets in each of the project areas and are preparing proposals for further exploration of the target areas to enable the company to define the mineral resource.
Exploitation opportunities include one or a combination of farm-in, joint venture development or joint venture exploration. It is expected that a number of development opportunities will arise from these strategic holdings, the company said.
