Background: as of September 1, 2009, lamps with a high energy consumption, i.e. primarily incandescent lamps, will be gradually phased out in accordance with a new EU Directive and vanish from dealers’ shelves. The extensive range offered by OSRAM will help customers make the transition from power-guzzling incandescent lamps to energy-efficient lighting technologies.
