Australian energy company Origin Energy has reported production of 57.8 petajoules for the first half of 2008, a 23% increase compared to 47.1 petajoules for the same period of 2007.
For the second quarter of 2008, the company has reported revenues of A$116.3 million, compared to A$125.9 million for the same period of 2007. Origin Energy has reported revenues of A$314.4 million for the first half of 2008, compared to A$255.5 million for the same period of 2007.
According to the company, it has reported production of 23.9 petajoules for the second quarter of 2008, compared to 23.2 petajoules for the same period of 2007.
Grant King, Origin’s managing director, said: The December quarter was a period of transformation for the company’s upstream business and for Origin. The company has no interest bearing debt, a significant cash balance and significant undrawn bank facilities.
Origin Energy is an integrated energy company operating across Australia and New Zealand. The company is also a producer of gas in eastern Australia and a
wholesaler and retailer of energy. The company claims to service more than three and a half million electricity, natural gas and LPG customers across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
