Stockholm, Sweden-based Morphic’s subsidiary Finshyttan Hydro Power AB has received an order from GE Energy to renovate hydraulic turbines at Gulsele power station.

The order is for machining work in connection with renovation of one of the three turbines at the power station. The power station, owned by E.ON, takes water from the river Angermanalven. The turbine to be renovated is a Kaplan model with a maximum power output of 64MW. Delivery will be in July 2008. Gulsele power station was built in 1956, and the turbines were supplied by Karlstads Mekaniska Verkstad. The head is about 29m and normal annual production from all three turbines is 315GWh.
