Suzlon, as per the agreed terms, will supply 24 S88 – 21.MW wind turbine generators for the project located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Scope of the contract includes installation, operation and maintenance of the turbines.

Orange Renewable Power co-founder Ranjit Gupta remarked that the expertise and market capabilities of Suzlon will enable the company to achieve its goals in the renewable energy industry.

"We plan to develop and operate a portfolio of renewable energy assets, including wind, biomass, small hydro and solar, where each project would be crafted to deliver optimum value to all stakeholders," elaborated Gupta.

Suzlon Group CEO Rohit Modi noted, "We are pleased to receive this order from Orange Renewable Power and look forward to partnering with the company in its ambitious plans for the wind energy sector in India."

The S88 turbine, although manufactured to operate in medium wind regimes, are equipped with capabilities to withstand extreme conditions.
