Places are still available on a three-day hydro optimisation workshop to be hosted by Charles Howard and Associates in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on 4-6 April 2001.
The workshop is for utility personnel that have to make planning decisions concerned with hydrological uncertainty, energy prices and price constraints. It will provide a refresher on reservoir management and power house operations, including hydrologic probability, efficiency, low and high flow operational requirements and institutional constraints. Computer programs will demonstrate hourly, daily and seasonal dam operation for flood control, drought management and power.
