Built with assistance from AK Das Associates, the 56km-long line features 148 electric towers, and links the grids through 132-KV Bay Extension at the existing 132/33-KV sub-station in Jagatsinghpur and 220/132-KV sub-station at Paradip, The New Indian Express reports.
The single circuit transmission line primarily aims to help Jagatsinghpur avail power from both Paradip and Cuttack, which will not only ensure uninterrupted supply but also enhance voltage quality during emergencies.
Jagatsinghpur was until now receiving power from Cuttack through a radial feeder, according to the news agency.
Bhubaneswar-based electrical construction company, AK Das has supplied, erected and successfully commissioned the towers under direct supervision of OPTCL’s Extra High Tension (C) Division, Cuttack, India.
