The news source reported that OMV will construct four petrol stations between the 49th and the 66th kilometer markers on the Sun Motorway, while Rompetrol will build four stations between the 88th and the 139th kilometer markers. Petrom will be building two outlets at the 111th kilometer marker.

The companies have been mandated to setup temporary mobile petrol stations within 60 days of the contract’s signing, and will have four months to setup the permanent outlets, tentatively by January 2009.

The petrol stations’ lease will be for a maximum of 29 years. The news source noted that the process of leasing, which was initiated three years ago, was delayed by the regional authorities who were assigned to deliver plans for the outlets’ construction.
