According to the company, the graphite lenses are 275m wide and average 100m wide over the 2000m length.
The soft saprolitic, graphite-bearing clays in the oxidised zone has an average thickness of 18.9m, the company said.
As per the width, thickness and continuity of the graphite-bearing clays suggests that the company will be able to mine the graphite in an economical way without having to drill or blast.
The company also said that the graphite is likely to be able to wash the graphite clean without much crushing, which will also help the company reduce the capital cost.
Drilling results and assays are expected to help the company derive an inferred resource estimation after mineralization.
Oakdale Resources plans to carry out close spaced drilling on the wider and thicker intersections, diamond drilling on four wide spaced holes, to get samples for testing.
