The permits that are issued for a one year term of operation will enable the fully portable N-Viro Fuel facility to use biosolids from several Pennsylvania municipalities to produce N-Viro fuel for use in full-scale tests with specific power generating utilities.
The produced N-Viro Fuel is intended to be combined with waste coal to undergo a testing in a commercial power generating facility. Upon completion of trial burn testing, N-Viro plans to begin the construction of a permanent N-Viro manufacturing plant and finalize long-term supply agreements.
The patented N-Viro Fuel process that will be used by the company to produce the fuel has been approved by the US EPA to be an acceptable process to convert waste biosolids into a product that can be utilized as an alternative renewable energy source.
N-Viro expects this facility to be begin operation sometime late in the third quarter of 2010.
