DPCL will construct the required jetty facilities, and associated infrastructure for unloading of bulk crude oil and bulk LPG carrying ships at Dhamra port, with its own investment, as part of the deal.
NRL will build bulk crude oil storage facilities and crude evacuation facilities through pipeline at Dhamra port.
Numaligarh has also signed a MoU with Cement Corporation Of India (CCI) for usage of raw petroleum coke, which is generated at the refinery, after the completion of proposed capacity expansion.
CCI will use raw petroleum coke to generate power by utilising the Circulating Fluidized Bed(CFB) technology, while it plans to build a power plant with a size of around 75MW at Bokajan, as part of the MoU.
Numaligarh Refinery said, "The proposed crude oil pipeline route of approx 1,338 km length to traverse through the states of Odisha, West Bengal and Assam has already been identified and a detailed survey for construction of the same is in progress."
