The company disconnected the Cernavoda power station Unit 1 from the National Power Grid in order to perform precise repair works of preventive maintenance at the systems related to the classical part of the power plant.
During the outage period, the company carried out repair works and the related verification test as well as the reconnection activities in compliance with the procedures of the power plant, as well as the protection and safety standards.
Nuclearelectrica operates two 706MW reactors at Cernavoda power station which accounts for about a fifth of the power production in the country and is planning to add two more additional units, reports Reuters.
