Irish infrastructure firm NTR is close to its decision regarding the preferred bidder for its majority-owned wind energy firm Airtricity, reported Reuters, citing The Irish Times.

Reuters said that the sale of Airtricity’s European assets could fetch up to E1 billion. NTR owns a 51% stake in the wind farm operator.

Possible bidders include British utility Scottish & Southern Energy, German energy groups E.On and RWE, French energy giant EDF and Spanish firm Iberdrola, according to Reuters.
