Indian state-owned power generating company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has announced that it will buy-out another state-owned power company for an estimated $1 billion.
NTPC will buy National Hydro Power Corporation in two instalments. The first instalment will be paid by March 2000, and the second will be paid by October 2000.
