Flinders power station in Australia has been sold by NRG Energy to Babcock & Brown Power Ltd.
Along with related assets the sale raised net proceeds of some $239 million along with the elimination of around $359 million of consolidated liabilities and some $76 million related to electricity and fuel agreements with the Osborne power station.
Located near Port Augusta, Flinders consists of two coal-fired plants with a total capacity of 760 MW.
