Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises will start exploration program on its Matawinie graphite property later this spring.

The exploration program will include a 3,000m drilling campaign to define a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate over the Ti-Nou high grade graphite mineralized zone.

Designed to follow-up the drilling and trenching results obtained in the area during the fall of 2013, the drilling program will focus over an area measuring approximately 500m long by 100m wide by 100m depth where initial interpretation from the 2013 work.

Currently, a detailed induced-polarization survey and a borehole geophysical survey are underway to have a better understanding of the shape and size of the mineralized zone before the start of the drill program.

Nouveau Monde president and CEO Eric Desaulniers said, "We are confident that our effective, systematic and educated exploration approach within a 5000 km2 area located near all infrastructures and in a known producing graphite mining camp is the right strategy to generate a massive economic graphite portfolio."

Nouveau Monde, meanwhile, will also systematically follow up on a total of over 30 linear km of prospective graphite targets in the Matawinie area based on regional heliborne magnetic and electromagnetic data.

The company aims to identify additional high-grade surface graphite mineralization containing jumbo flakes similar to the Ti-Nou showing.
