Mr Grellman will report to the COO of the company, Lee DiStefano. His primary responsibilities will be to implement and manage Norwood’s corporate drilling objectives and the development of a practical and effective infrastructure to support all aspects of the company’s drilling, testing and production operations.
This will include developing an effective supplier network and logistics system and managing contractor relationships. Mr Grellman will also be responsible for the company’s health, safety and environmental policy and to ensure its compliance with Nicaraguan and international oilfield standards and practices.
Mr Grellman has 36 years experience in the global oil and gas industry primarily in well operations. He began his career in 1972 with Exlog, and in 1978 joined Cities Service Oil Company, which was later acquired by Occidental Oil and Gas.
During his time with Occidental he worked in drilling operations in more than 20 countries. Starting as a well-site geologist, Mr Grellman progressed to become the company’s general manager in Papua New Guinea, Australia, Pakistan and Albania. His most recent position at Occidental was manager of exploration operations.
