The Mill Creek power generating plant would cost $201.8m and during the construction period would employ approximately 125 workers and 10 more when it is operational.
The 150MW Mill Creek power generating facility is due for completion by the end of 2010. An additional 50MW of capacity, depending on the requirement, would be added later, officials with the South Dakota-based company mentioned.
The setting up of the new plant is a plan to make the state’s largest utility to generate power of its own. The plant is almost three miles east of Anaconda. The company serves customers in Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska.
