The company will deliver ten of its N90/2500 turbines to an Irish developer for the Killaveenoge wind project near Drinagh in County Cork.

Turbine delivery is expected to start in October this year.

Nordex will also deliver seven machines of the same model to Element Power for the Coollegrean wind farm near Brosna in County Kerry.

Turbine deliveries under the second order will start in November 2016.

Both contracts include a 15-year Premium full-service contract. The two wind parks are anticipated to start operations in the summer 2017.

Nordex chief sales officer Patxi Landa said: "Nordex has built business in Ireland over many years. Ireland continues to be an important market for our company, and we have a strong team on the ground there.

"These new orders mean that we have over 600 MW of turbines either in operation or construction."

Recently, Nordex received three orders to supply and install 18 wind turbines totalling 40MW in Turkey.

The company also received orders to connect two wind farms to the grid in US in the states of North Dakota and Maryland.
