Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has secured orders to supply wind turbines with a total capacity of 72MW for projects in Turkey.

Nordex will supply 16 N131/3600 wind turbines to Pakmem Elektrik for its Cerit wind farm, in the spring of 2018. Pakmem Elektrik also agreed for a premium service deal for a period of 15 years.

Nordex will also deliver four N117/3600 wind turbines to Sur Enerji for its Kurtini wind farm, in October 2017. Sur Enerji also signed a premium service agreement for a period of 10 years.

The 57.6MW Cerit wind farm is situated in Caglayancerit region in south east of Anatolia, Turkey.

The N131/3600 turbine is designed based on the average annual wind speed at Cerit wind farm, 6.6 m/s. The wind farm will generate 161000MWh of electricity per year.

Nordex will install the turbines on the tubular steel towers, 84m long, that are mounted on two adjacent ridges of heights 1510 and 1865 metres.

The Kurtini wind farm is located in southern Anatolia close to Mersin city, 20km off the Mediterranean coast.

Nordex will install the turbines on tubular steel towers, 91m long, at altitudes between 1150 and 1250 metres.

The wind farm is expected to generate 45000MWh of electricity per year, that will meet the requirements of 15000 houses in Turkey. The wind farm will minimize the carbon dioxide emissions by 26500 tons.

Nordex, founded in 1985, has its headquarters in Germany and has over 5000 employees in offices across 25 countries.
