The Manfredonia wind farm is located in Apulia on the southern Adriatic coast and will include seven Nordex N100/2500 turbines, which will be installed in spring 2014.
The farm is expected to generate around 40GWh per year of clean energy and will avoid the CO2 emission of some 40,000 tons.
Nordex board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said the contract is an encouraging sign for the company’s subsidiary in Rome, showing that also under the new auction system in Italy Nordex is successful.
"What is more, I am pleased that we have been able to convince Alerion of the quality of our turbines."
