The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and its joint partners are planning to invest more than $685 million developing some 3,000 MW of capacity, due on line by 2007.
According to local media reports the plants are to be located at Geregu, Papalanto, Omotoso and Alaoji, with oil companies selling excess capacity back to the grid.
