The INR17.24bn ($277.26m) URI-II power station fractures a concrete Gravity Dam with head regulator, around 9Km long water conductor system comprising of an open channel, HRT, TRT and an underground power house.
The Uri-II project, the second run-of-the-river power project on the Jhelum River, can generate an estimated 1123 million units of electricity per year from its four units of 60MW each.
Electricity generated from the Uri-II plant is transmitted at 400kV and fed into India’s Northern grid through the 114km long Uri-II-Uri-I Inter-connector transmission line and the Uri-II-Wagoora transmission line.
