Renewable fuels provider New Generation Biofuels Holdings has signed a 12-month contract to supply Delta Chemical of Baltimore, Maryland, with up to 371,000 gallons per year of renewable biofuel.
New Generation Biofuels will supply Delta Chemical with biofuel for its Cleaver-Brooks lead boiler. According to the company, the contract will fulfill approximately 50% of Delta Chemical’s annual energy consumption needs. Deliveries will begin in shortly from New Generation Biofuels’s new Baltimore production facility.
Cary Claiborne, CEO and CFO of New Generation Biofuels, said: We are pleased to announce that our first sales contract in the Baltimore area is with Delta Chemical, which has taken a positive step towards renewable and sustainable energy by electing to use our renewable biofuel to meet its energy needs.
Our biofuel has demonstrated overall greenhouse gas emission reductions as well as local air pollution reductions including nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide compared to distillate fuel oil.
New Generation Biofuels is a development-stage renewable fuels provider. It claims to hold an exclusive license for North America, Central America and the Caribbean to commercialize proprietary technology to manufacture alternative biofuels from vegetable oils and animal fats that it markets as a new class of biofuel for power generation, commercial and industrial heating and marine use.
