Danish wind giant Vestas has announced a couple of contracts over recent weeks.

The company has received an order for 18 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine for the Apulia Region close to Surbo, Italy.

The order has been placed by Inergia. Lecce3 will be the first big wind power plant to be installed in the southern part of Apulia. The civil works have already started and all the turbines will be commissioned during the first six months of 2007.

Vestas has also received an order for delivery of 15 units of the V80-2.0 MW turbine in Turkey for the Sabenova project. The order comprises supply, installation and commissioning of the wind power plant. Delivery will take place during the first half of 2007. The order has been placed by the Aksa Group.
