ARQ Consultants of South Africa has recently opened an office in the UK. Melton Claughton, a member of the All Reservoirs Panel, will head up the new international initiative.
ARQ operates in 11 countries in the fields of dams and water projects, geotechnics and project management. Its area of expertise covers feasibility studies; design and construction supervision of RCC, rubble masonry concrete and concrete dams; as well as safety inspections and surveys of dams and hydro power schemes. The UK practice will initially focus on the water, dam and hydro power sectors of the market.
