SNC-Lavalin, in consortium with Skanska-Chant JV and Skanska International Civil Engineering AB, has signed a $167M contract to design and build a 120MW power facility for Brilliant Expansion Power Corporation in British Columbia, Canada.
The consortium will provide engineering, procurement and construction for the new power facility. This contract is part of a larger project to expand the existing 150MW Brilliant dam generating station, located on the Kootenay river near Castlegar, British Columbia.
Work is due to begin in the first quarter of 2003, and construction is expected to be completed in 2006.
