Uttaranchal has set up 75 small hydro projects that will generate a combined total of 72.45MW.
The Indian state will see its hydro presence boom under the subsidisation scheme of the ministry of non-conventional energy sources (MNES). Other areas affected under the scheme include Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, each due to set up 57 projects.
