Russian Power Equipment Manufacturer, Power Machines, has won a tender to supply turbines for the 3x140MW Baishi Hydro Power Plant in Hunan Province, China.

The US$46.5M project will be undertaken by Power Machines jointly with its local partner – Zhejiang Fuchunjiang Hydropower Equipment Company. Financing will be provided by the Chinese energy company Human Wuling Hydropower Development Company, the developer of the Baishi Project.

In accordance with the terms of the project Power Machines will supply turbine equipment and manufacture three runners for the three power units. Power Machines part of the project amounts to about US$10M.

The Baishi project will be the third hydro scheme implemented by Power Machines together with Chinese enterprises.
