The company said that this agreement is part of the company’s efforts to advance the commercial development of SolarWindow that can generate electricity on see-thru glass.
The core objective of the product development is to increase the SolarWindow efficiency and transparency, and enhance electrical power (current and voltage) output.
According to the company, the technology is under development for application in commercial buildings in America.
New Energy Technologies president & CEO John Conklin said that the addition of NREL’s solar research group to its ongoing efforts at the University of South Florida marks a significant step forward for the company and its SolarWindow technology.
"The goals of this CRADA move us definitively towards product development, important to the commercialization of SolarWindow," Conklin said
