The new president of Ingersoll-Rand’s Production Equipment Group will be Joseph A Kiah, the company has announced. Kiah (left) was vice president and general manager of the Group’s Tool and Hoist Division. Leader-ship changes at black-veatch, anticipated since a partners’ meeting in July, have been implemented. The company, which is a partnership with more than 160 partners, in the past was managed by a committee of five partners and a chairman/CEO. Now leadership functions have been separated: while Jim Adam(top left) will continue as chairman, Len Rodman (top right) will assume CEO responsibilities. In addition, a board of directors and a global operating committee have been created.

Mike Casebourne has been appointed director general and secretary of the UK’s Institution of Civil Engin-eers. Casebourne (right), who will take up his appointment at the start of 1999, has in the past served as chairman of the UK Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors.

Binnie Black & Veatch has appointed three new technical directors: their appointment is said to be ‘a mark of our success in winning new projects and our determination to ensure we have the management who will continue this pattern of growth’. The directors are: Ian Bush, Ian Kirkaldy and Peter Martin.
