Nautilus Solar Energy, an independent solar power producer, has acquired the 880kW one-axis solar PV facility at Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield, California from Regenesis Power, a company that develops finances and operates commercial and utility-scale solar projects.

The acquisition of the municipal solar project located in Kern County, California, covering six acres, complements Nautilus Solar’s business strategy to pursue project development opportunities on the West Coast, including California.

The project, which has a strong operating history and experienced staff, will enable Nautilus Solar to work with Meadows Field Airport and Kern County to help them service their customer base.

Regenesis Power CEO John Polumbo said that Meadows Field Airport has demonstrated leadership in the field of airport and municipal development with its smart energy strategy and they have been exemplary partners throughout this entire process.

“We are pleased to have successfully concluded this transaction with Nautilus Solar, they have been an excellent team to work with,” Polumbo said.
