Under the terms of the agreement, the biowaste-to-energy plant will be developed using the N-Viro Fuel technology.
N-Viro Energy will structure the project as a 30-year term build-operate-transfer (BOT) project, which will initially process 300 metric tons of wastewater residuals into N-Viro fuel.
The facility will feature advanced technologies and the N-Viro Fuel technology for the treatment of waste and its conversion into electricity.
The initial project will require a $28m investment by N-Viro Energy.
The company said that the development through a comprehensive resource utilization plan will enable for additional facility expansion to service other wastewater treatment plants.
Guangzhou XinMingRun Purification mainly treats urban wastewater and operates the Xintang Sewage plant in Zengcheng, Guangdong Province.
