Joint venture Electricity Alliance MSVE has entered into an GBP5m ($8.06m) area alliance agreement with National Grid to deliver an overhead line construction programme across England and Wales.
MSVE includes energy and information technologies services provider VINCI Energies and construction firm Morgan Sindall.
Scope of work under the five year program includes reinsulating the Brinsworth to Thorpe Marsh 400kV overhead line near Doncaster.
The JV will design and install all the permanent equipment, including insulators and fittings and replace steelwork on all 57 towers.
Morgan Sindall managing director of Utility Services Jeff Lang said the company is pleased to secure this partnership with VINCI Energies and National Grid and look forward to ensure a secure electricity supply across UK.
The agreement is effective from April with a completion date of December of this year.
