United M&E Investment Co. Ltd. has appointed Mott MacDonald as its technical advisor for a new combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Mexico.

The 158 MW plant is being developed at a cost of $190 million to meet growing demand for electricity in Mexico. It will be constructed in Monterrey, an important commercial and industrial centre in northeast Mexico.
