Morphic Exergy Fuel Cells Srl (Morphic Exergy), a subsidiary of Morphic Technologies AB, has signed a SEK48 million distribution agreement with Narbonne Associates for Morphic Exergy’s Polaris 140 portable fuel cells. As per the agreement, Narbonne Associates will sell Polaris 140 to owners of house trailers and motorhomes, who attach it to the electrical systems of their recreational vehicles to charge their existing batteries.

The product has been approved by the customer and deliveries will begin in September 2009.

Polaris 140 is a compact portable fuel cell which in this particular application runs on NBH4, a chemical compound that is distributed in liquid form (dissolved in water) and forms hydrogen continuously at the same rate as it is consumed in the fuel cell.

“The product and area of application are exactly right and show not only that the market has embraced our offer but also indicate that our strategy of focusing our resources on concrete product development rather than visions will generate business. The changes we have now been implemented paved the way for our long-planned share offering and will enable us to fund production for orders like this”, Martin Valfridsson, president and chief executive officer of Morphic Technologies AB, says.
