MOL will be opening four new filling stations on the M7 motorway, one on the M5 and two along the M0 circle. The commencement of operations at two stations on M7 could be reportedly put off till 2009, due to hold-ups in highway construction.
OMV, on the other hand is not too keen to expand its network, as it plans only one or two new outlets in the short-term. MOL already accounts for around 36% market share in Hungary, and has reportedly lost six percentage points over the past three years.
