ExxonMobil said that Nissan selected the synthetic engine oil as the initial fill for the GT-R because of its friction-reducing capabilities and high-temperature performance. Mobil-1 is also recommended for follow-on service fills.
The company said that Mobil-1 0W-40 provides a variety of performance benefits for the Nissan GT-R and its VR38 engine, including engine wear protection, excellent oil flow characteristics and fuel economy.
