Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas (MPSA) has received an order from Abengoa to supply a natural gas powered combined cycle power train for installation at the 440MW Carty Generating Station in US.

Portland General Electric (PGE) is constructing the new gas turbine combined cycle power plant near Boardman in Oregon.

MPSA’s power train includes M501GAC gas turbine, SRT-50 reheat steam turbine, and heat recovery steam generator.

The M501GAC gas turbine to be installed at the Carty Generating Station will be manufactured at Mitsubishi Power’s Savannah manufacturing and service facility located in Savannah.

MPSA, under a separate long term service agreement, will provide turbine maintenance, repair and outage services, replacement parts supply, and dedicated remote monitoring for its gas turbine for the Carty Generating Station.

Upon completion, the Carty generating station will be able to produce reliable power to meet the energy needs of over 300,000 PGE customers.

Construction of the power plant is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2016.
