The "Jawa-2 Combined Cycle Power Plant Project" will include construction of GTCC power plant on the premises of Tanjung Priok Power Plant in central part of Jakarta.

The operation at the new power plant is expected to begin in 2018.

The Jawa-2 Combined Cycle Power Plant Project is being constructed to meet the country’s growing demand for electric power.

It is also a part a plan by the Indonesian Government to expand power generation capacity to 35,000 MW.

MHPS will be supplying M701F4 gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and one steam turbine and the balance of plant (BOP).

While Mitsubishi Electric will be supplying generators for the project, and PT. Wasa Mitra Engineering (WASA) will be responsible for the installation work, and the other local company will undertake civil work.
