A consortium of Japanese companies has been awarded a US$109M contract to construct a hydro power plant in China.
According to media reports from Japan, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Corp, Hitachi and Toshiba closed the deal last week with Shanxi Xilongchi Pumped Storage Power Station Co for a power station totalling 1.2GW.
Further details on the contract have yet to be announced.
