“We are offering a smart, new approach to homebuilding that addresses the way many people choose to live today,” said Robert H. Schottenstein, chairman and chief executive officer of M/I Homes. “M/I Homes’ new eco series is more efficient, environmentally responsible and affordable for those seeking a home in central Ohio.”
Characteristics of the eco series include:
Kitchens that open to living areas, emphasizing natural light and clear sight lines;
Oversized garages allowing for additional storage;
Nine-foot first floor ceilings for a sense of openness;
E-Zone centers wired to allow connection/recharging of laptops, PDAs, phones, etc;
Oversized master bedrooms with connected master bath and large walk-in closets;
Upstairs laundry rooms available for added convenience.
With a wide array of new architectural plans, buyers will have a number of distinct architectural choices.
M/I Homes will launch the eco series on April 18, 2009, making it first available for purchase in the Columbus, Ohio market within selected M/I communities, including: Cedar Run, Cherry Landing, Hayden Farms, Scott Farms, Summerlyn, Upper Albany West, Villages at Sycamore and Waggoner Trace. The company plans to offer the eco series in many of its other markets during the coming months.
