The study found that the coatings provided energy savings during both day time and night time hours. The findings of the study qualify Nansulate for the energy efficiency rebate program offered by Infonavit, Mexico’s state owned mortgage provider, said Industrial Nanotech.

The company’s exclusive Mexican distributor, Distribuidora Nano de America, estimates that the initial number of units to utilize Nansulate, designated as Nr1 homes, is approximately 600,000 units, with a roof area of 36 square meters per unit.

Francesca Crolley, VP of business development at Industrial Nanotech, said: “We look forward to the use of Nansulate in the Mexican government’s energy rebate program and to further inclusion and recognition by other forward thinking and well informed governments, including our own.

“The study is significant in that it shows that our products are effective in residential environments during a full 24 hour cycle, not just during the daylight hours. Additional benefits will be experienced by the homeowners who choose to use the product on the walls of their homes also.”
