The delivery encompasses the complete turn-key solution including the entire plant, all on-site installations and training.
The Metso-Wartsila joint venture MW Power will deliver the CHP facility, which will connect to the grid in late 2012.
The order, valued at about EUR20m, is included in Energy and Environmental Technology’s second quarter of 2011 orders received.
The facility will deliver a maximum of 10MWth of district heat for the Zwickau municipality area and a maximum of 5MW of electricity for the power grid.
Metso said this will be the eighth delivery of a such complete modularized CHP plant to Germany by MW Power.
