The order comprises a primary gyratory crusher for processing of run-of-mine gold ore, and a semi-autogenous grinding mill and a ball mill for secondary grinding.

The company expects to complete the delivery of crusher by January 2014, while the grinding mills will be supplied during April 2014.

B2Gold metallurgy manager John Rajala said that Metso has a potential track record of supplying robust crushing and grinding equipment, besides providing a competitive bid.

The Otjikoto gold project, located 300 km north of Windhoek in Namibia, consists of open pit mine with minerals reserves of 29.4MT with an average gold grade of 1.42 grams per ton.

B2Gold, meanwhile, expects an output of 141,000-oz gold annually in the first five years of full operation by 2014.
