A conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, will offer energy traders, generators and large consumers an insight into the future of the deregulated power industry in Scotland.

Aimed at directors and senior managers in Scotland’s energy industry, the British Electricity and Transmission Trading Arrangements (BETTA) Conference will be held on 6 February 2002, at the Royal Terrace Hotel.

Presentations at the meeting will draw on the experience of major operators in England and Wales. Key speakers include David Halldearn, OFGEM director for Scotland and Europe, who will discuss the current deregulation position and offer an overview of the BETTA process.
