Mr Schumacher will be responsible for corporate development activities including working on new production facility projects, capital raising and strategic partnerships with leading companies across the cellulosic product value chain.
Most recently, Mr Schumacher provided leadership in establishing a strategic partnership between Mascoma and auto manufacturer General Motors (GM), which includes an equity investment by GM and a commitment to ongoing collaboration with Mascoma globally.
Mr Forrest has joined Mascoma to provide legal counsel to the company. He has extensive experience representing emerging growth companies and most recently was appointed a lecturer on law at the Harvard Law School to teach a course on legal issues relevant to venture-backed technology companies.
