Martifer has entered into an EPC agreement with Lightsource Renewable Energy to construct four projects in the Cambridgeshire, Devon, Nottingham and Swindon counties and to sell one of the 50MW projects, situated at Spittleborough Farm, which have already been completed.
Martifer will monitor the 78.4MWp of five PV plants, under an operation and maintenance (O&M) contract, according to the company.
The five PV plants, which cover a total area of around 155 hectares, consist of 308,418 modules in total installed in ground-mounted fixed structures.
Martifer Solar UK country manager João Cunha said the company is looking forward to build healthy pipeline of utility-scale projects in UK.
"We are proud to continually enforce our commitment to the development of solar energy in the UK, and with a strong partner in Lightsource Renewable Energy, Martifer Solar has emerged as a leading global player in this market," Cunha added.
