“Due to poor economic conditions, production of the Clearfield plant is being consolidated with the Vernon plant. We greatly appreciate the dedication and contribution of the Clearfield employees since the plant’s opening in 1989,” said Mike Beuke, vice president of operations.
Workers will continue employment with benefits for 60 days from plant closing. In addition, Marathon is offering employees outplacement counseling to include onsite computer access and resume and interview training.
